Vijaya K. Gangipangi

Vijaya K. Gangipangi, Ph.D., is a Postdoctoral Fellow in our laboratory with a background in molecular biotechnology from his doctoral training. His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms driving airway remodeling and fibrosis in asthma, with particular emphasis on E3 ubiquitin ligases and ubiquitin-mediated protein regulation. He investigates how these pathways regulate airway smooth muscle proliferation, migration, and extracellular matrix remodeling. His work integrates advanced molecular and biochemical techniques, precision-cut lung slices (PCLS), and multi-omics approaches to define disease mechanisms and identify novel therapeutic targets for airway remodeling. Outside the laboratory, Vijay enjoys playing badminton and reading.
